The earlobes can lose volume and elongate over time, particularly from earring wear. Filler restores shape and supports earring placement.

The earlobe is composed primarily of fat and connective tissue with no cartilage — making it one of the few facial structures that is almost entirely soft tissue. This composition is what makes it highly susceptible to volume loss with age, and to stretching and elongation from the weight of earrings worn over decades.
Aesthetically, the earlobe influences how jewelry sits, how the ear transitions to the neck, and the overall groomed appearance of the lower face and ear area. A deflated or elongated lobe can make the area look aged in a way that's difficult to attribute to any single cause — patients simply notice their earrings no longer sit or hang the way they used to.
It's one of the smallest treatments we offer and one of the most quietly satisfying results.

Lobes full and firm; earrings sit at natural position with no sagging.
Early volume thinning begins; heavy earring wear starts to compound elongation.
Visible deflation and elongation; earrings no longer sit or hang as they used to.
Significant volume loss and stretching; lobes may appear pendulous or wrinkled.
The earlobe is at peak volume in the 20s — firm, round, and well-supported. Earrings sit at their natural position with no sagging or pulling.
Early fat thinning begins to reduce lobe firmness. Patients who wear heavy earrings regularly may start to notice mild elongation of the piercing tract.
Volume loss becomes visible. The lobe appears flatter and less defined. Earring position shifts as the structural support diminishes.
Significant deflation and elongation are common. Lobes may appear wrinkled, pendulous, or disproportionately large relative to the surrounding ear structure.
Restore lobe volume that has deflated with age and earring wear
Improve earring fit and position by rebuilding the structural support beneath the piercing
Refine the overall appearance of the ear and neck area with minimal product and downtime
Earlobe treatment at CAMI uses a small amount of firm filler placed within the lobe to restore volume and shape. The amount required is minimal — most patients need less than 0.5ml per side — and results are immediate and long-lasting relative to other facial areas because the earlobe has limited movement and vascularity.
For patients with significant elongation from earring wear, filler alone addresses the volume deficit. In cases where the piercing tract has become very elongated or torn, surgical repair may be more appropriate — we'll have that conversation honestly before recommending treatment.
